1. Acceptance of these Terms and minimum age
By accessing or using LocallyBot (the “Service”), including the website at locallybot.com, the LocallyBot mobile app, and any related APIs, features, or content, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. LocallyBot is intended for adults, and by using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly allow accounts for anyone under 18; if we learn that an account belongs to a minor we will close it and delete the associated personal data, as described in our Privacy Policy.
If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you additionally confirm that you are authorised to act for that business and to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. Ownership of content and design
The Service, including its software, source code, page layouts, visual design, illustrations, copy, search algorithms, recommendation logic, business directory data, photographs, videos, audio, logos, and trademarks, is owned by LocallyBot or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, trade-dress, and other applicable laws.
User-submitted content (including listings, reviews, posts, and photos) remains owned by the user but is licensed to LocallyBot for display, indexing, moderation, and Service operation as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Permitted use
Subject to these Terms, you may access the Service for personal, non-commercial use, and business owners may manage their own listing. Search engine crawlers that respect robots.txt and conventional crawling etiquette may index public listing pages for the sole purpose of returning search results that link back to LocallyBot.
4. Prohibited activities
You may not, and you may not assist or permit any third party to:
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or otherwise systematically extract data from the Service, except as expressly permitted by robots.txt for indexing purposes.
- Use the Service’s content (including listings, reviews, photographs, copy, layouts, or any other expressive material) to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or otherwise develop machine-learning or generative-AI models, datasets, or embeddings.
- Copy, reproduce, mirror, frame, or republish any portion of the Service’s design, layout, copy, illustrations, or business data on another product, app, or website.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or non-public APIs of the Service, except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits.
- Use any automated means to access the Service, bypass rate limits, evade authentication, impersonate users, or attempt to access data you are not authorized to view.
- Use the Service to build, train, evaluate, or operate a competing directory, search index, or recommendation product.
- Strip, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, watermark, or attribution notice on Service content.
- Use, register, or display LocallyBot trademarks, logos, or trade dress in a way that could cause confusion as to source or sponsorship.
5. User-generated content and community standards
LocallyBot hosts user-generated content (“UGC”), including reviews, ratings, photos, chat messages, Pulse posts, listing edits, and other submissions. You are solely responsible for the UGC you create. By posting UGC you grant LocallyBot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, moderate, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Service, as further described in our Privacy Policy.
You may not post UGC that:
- Is illegal under applicable law (including India’s IT Act and related rules), or that promotes or instructs criminal activity.
- Harasses, threatens, bullies, stalks, or intimidates any person, or targets someone with unwanted sexual or abusive content.
- Contains hate speech or discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, race, or other protected characteristics.
- Is spam, scam, phishing, malware, or deceptive commercial solicitation (including fake reviews or paid undisclosed endorsements).
- Infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others, or discloses someone else’s personal data without a lawful basis.
- Depicts sexual exploitation of minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, extreme violence, or other content that app stores or intermediaries are required to remove.
- Impersonates another person or business, or falsely claims affiliation with LocallyBot or a government authority.
No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. LocallyBot does not allow illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or otherwise objectionable UGC, and does not tolerate abusive users. Automated filters screen reviews, posts, and other submissions. You can flag (Report) any review, Pulse post or comment, or conversation, and blockan abusive user. Blocking hides that person’s content from your feed or inbox immediately and notifies our moderation team.
We act on objectionable-content reports within 24 hours by removing the content and ejecting (suspending or terminating) the account that provided it when the report is substantiated. Use the in-thread Block and Report actions (Messages), Report on a listing review or Pulse post, Report an issue, or contact our Grievance Officer (see Privacy Policy §11 and Support). We may also report matters to authorities when required or appropriate.
6. Rate limits and technical safeguards
The Service enforces rate limits and other technical safeguards to protect availability and data integrity. Attempting to circumvent or overload these safeguards is a violation of these Terms and may violate the federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and equivalent state and international laws.
7. Enforcement
We may suspend, throttle, or terminate access for any user, IP, or organization that violates these Terms; remove offending content; report violations to hosting providers, registrars, app stores, or law-enforcement; and seek injunctive relief, statutory damages, and other remedies available at law or equity. We may pursue remedies cumulatively.
8. Trademarks
“LocallyBot”, the LocallyBot wordmark, and the hexagonal LocallyBot mark are trademarks of LocallyBot (or its licensor). All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
9. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact our designated agent at admin@huddlestack.com with the information required by 17 U.S.C. Section 512(c)(3). We will respond to valid notices.
10. Disclaimer & liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocallyBot disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date below and, where appropriate, by additional notice such as a banner on the site, an in-app message, or email to the address associated with your account. We do not guarantee a separate notification to every visitor who has not created an account. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to admin@huddlestack.com.
13. Listing data sourcing and owner removal rights
LocallyBot's directory combines information submitted by business owners with data discovered from third-party sources such as OpenStreetMap (ODbL) and, where we believe we have a lawful basis to do so, information from public directories or other lawful sources (see our How we source listings page). Preview or seeded listings may be shown to our team or designated reviewers before they are promoted to full public visibility.
We do not represent that every field on every listing is complete, current, or error-free. If you believe a listing is inaccurate, duplicated, or should not appear (for example, you did not consent to inclusion), you may request review using the Remove my listing flow or by contacting admin@huddlestack.com. Good-faith removal and correction requests are handled as promptly as practical — usually within a few business days, depending on verification load and complexity.
For more detail on sources and attribution, see our How we source listings page.
14. Business listing verification and trust badges
Some listings appear before a business owner joins LocallyBot. These unclaimed listings may be built from OpenStreetMap, public directories, or other lawful public sources. They are shown so neighbors can discover local businesses; they are not an endorsement that the owner participated in creating the listing.
We display trust badges on listing pages so consumers can see how much verification has been completed:
- Unclaimed — Unclaimed — the listing has not been claimed by the owner. Information may be incomplete or outdated.
- Verified — Verified — the owner claimed the listing and LocallyBot completed an identity and ownership review.
- Pickup orders — Pickup orders — the owner verified the listing phone and satisfied pickup-order trust checks. This badge is separate from Verified; a business may be Verified without accepting online pickup orders.
Owners may claim listings using a secure link, verify the listing phone number, and submit information for review. Pickup orders unlock after the listing phone is verified.
Pickup order features are governed by Section 14 (Pickup orders). LocallyBot does not guarantee that every Verified business accepts online pickup orders.
If you believe a listing is inaccurate, duplicated, fraudulent, or should not appear, Remove my listing or contact admin@huddlestack.com. Good-faith removal and correction requests are handled as promptly as practical — usually within a few business days, depending on verification load and complexity.
For more on data sources, see How we source listings.
15. Pickup orders (pay at pickup)
LocallyBot may let you send pickup order requests to participating businesses through the Service. These features are provided for convenience and coordination only. Unless we state otherwise in writing for a specific transaction, LocallyBot does not process payments, hold customer funds, or act as merchant of record for pickup orders. Any sale of food, goods, or services is solely between you and the business.
Order totals, taxes, tips, and item availability shown in the Service are informational and may be confirmed or adjusted by the business. Payment is ordinarily due when you pick up the order, using the payment method the business accepts, unless the business offers another arrangement.
You are responsible for arriving to collect your order within a reasonable time after the business notifies you that it is ready (or within any pickup window the business communicates). If you place an order and do not pick it up, the business may discard prepared items, charge you if permitted by its own policies and applicable law, or restrict future orders. LocallyBot is not responsible for abandoned or unclaimed pickup orders, including lost food, wasted preparation, pricing disputes, or refunds between you and the business.
Businesses may accept, decline, modify, or cancel orders according to their operations and policies. LocallyBot does not guarantee that any order will be fulfilled. Disputes about quality, timing, allergens, pricing, or payment should be resolved directly with the business.
When a business marks your order as ready, you should pick it up within the window shown in the app or communicated by the business (often about 30 minutes). Ready orders that are not collected in time may be closed automatically as unclaimed. Repeated unclaimed ready orders on your account may require a business to review and accept your next order, and may eventually pause pickup ordering on LocallyBot until support clears the restriction.
